What is the process of starting psychotherapy, yoga, and/or fitness workouts?

First reach out to me via the Let’s Connect page. Send me a brief email including your name, phone number, interest in psychotherapy, yoga, and/or fitness workouts and the best time to reach you. We will set up a phone call (approximately 10-15 minutes) to gather more information on what you are interested in and if we are a good fit. We will then decide if we should schedule a 75-minute initial consultation session to learn more about you, identify your goals, and discuss the best plan of action.


Who do you work with and what are you looking for in a client?

I am open to working with adults 18 years and older who are committed to making lifestyle changes through psychotherapy, yoga, and/or fitness workouts. I am happy to work with people in more than one modality and there is a discount in services for choosing multiple forms of care.

While I am open to working with anyone, my professional interests include working with relationships, family dynamics, anxiety, stress management, low self-esteem, health issues, and healthy lifestyle choices.


Do you ever work with couples or groups?

Short answer, yes.

Long answer, I am looking to start working with couples who are interested in committing to weekly psychotherapy (45- or 60- minute sessions) and yoga/fitness workouts (45- or 60-minute sessions) as a multidimensional model to traditional talk therapy.


Do you take insurance?

Not at this time. In my opinion, working with insurance companies limits the work we can do and requires an outside party to dictate your needs. We will work together to create a fee structure that makes our work financially sustainable for you.


What are your fees?

Let’s Connect to discuss the current rates. Fees are dictated based on services provided and length of sessions.


What form of payment do you accept?

When booking with Down Under School of Yoga, cash, checks and all major credit cards are accepted. Otherwise, cash and checks are the only accepted forms of payment. Payment is due at the time of session or prior.


What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 24 hours notice is kindly requested to cancel your appointment without penalty. If you do not cancel your appointment at least 24 hours ahead of time or do not show for your appointment, you will be charged for the cost of service. I hold myself to this same standard. If I need to cancel your appointment less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time, your next session is free.
